Fourth generation Aakash-2 Tablet launched in India

Aakash 2 Tablet“Aakash-2 Tab” also called the cheapest tablet in the world. Fourth generation “Aakash 2 Tablet” has been launched on November 11th 2012 by President Pranab Mukherjee in India. Aakash 2 tablets are manufactured by “DataWind”, a British based company in India. the motherboards and kits were manufactured in its Chinese subcontractor’s facility, and the final assembly and programming is done in India.

.Aakash 2 runs Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich operating system powered by ARM Cortex-A8 1Ghz Processor, has 512MG RAM, 7.0inch 800x480px Capacitive touch screen display, 4 GB internal storage memory and expandable upto 32GB, and a battery 2100 mAh working 4hrs at normal working time, only supports Wi-Fi Network connectivity.

Datawind announced that for the first 10,000 units for IIT, and for the sake of “Expediency”.
